SUBSOUNDS INTRO & SCHOOLS EP LAUNCH

On the 27th of May 2022, some of the young musicians that participated in SubSounds Schools & the SubSounds Intro participants will be launching their EP’s at a joint gig in South Dublin’s leading venue for music, theatre and dance, the Civic Theatre Tallaght.

2021/22 has been a very special year, as it has allowed us to resume our projects in person rather than online. This is the first SubSounds Schools since 2020, and the first SubSounds Intro group ever! And let me tell you, it was worth the wait! Guided by the SubSounds mentors, both groups have been working tirelessly since October, both in Rua Red and in their schools, composing, arranging, recording, and rehearsing their original songs, with this live performance in the Civic Theatre at the forefront of their minds! And it’s finally almost here!

Both projects have participants with ages ranging from 13-17, who all showed levels of creativity and enthusiasm that would put us adults to shame. Both EP’s have an incredible mixture of genres and influences, from pop to indie-rock to musical comedy, there’s something for every taste in this collection of tunes!
